The Danish power system should be based to a greater extent on renewable energy. With Energy Strategy 2050, the government proposes to increase Denmark’s renewable energy targets for 2020 to 33 %. To achieve this goal is not just a question of building more wind farms, it is equally important to upgrade the entire grid to be able to handle large amounts of fluctuating energy without being blacked out.
